On the Road – Chicago

Chicago lives up to its name “The Windy City”. I’ve been trying to keep my feet on the ground all weekend. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a certain famous talk show host to get an autograph, but no such luck. Instead, I made a trip up to the Sears Tower where I took in breath-taking scenery and almost lost my breath when I took a rest on the see-through floor that hangs out from the top of the building. Only a bowl of Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes Deep Kettle Chili would make this experience a 10!

After Sears Tower I took to the streets where I tried to take a self portrait in front of the Chicago Theatre. Obviously my arms are too short, but at least you get to see the sign and a little of me!!

Tonight I’m going to pass on the ‘famous’ Chicago Deep Dish pizza and enjoy myself some focaccia bread at my favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomatoes of course!! The deep dish doesn’t even compare!!  I have to get out of the city and get to the restaurants. Try to meet me at Sweet Tomatoes anytime today to help out Boys & Girls Clubs.

Print the flyer and enjoy some of the delicious American Road Trip food. This cold weather makes me want  warm soup. I’m glad we have eight to choose from.

If you are in Chicago, I’ll be at Sweet Tomatoes in:

Glenview                              4:00 – 5:15 p.m.
Schamburg                         4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Waukegan                           6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Lombard                              7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
