ORLANDO AND TAMPA CAMPAIGN CLEAN UP
CAMPAIGN CLEAN UP IN ORLANDO AND TAMPA
Sweet Deal from Sweet Tomatoes When You Bring Political Materials for Recycling
The election is finally over. So what do you do with those yard signs and other campaign materials? Well, if you bring in any political campaign materials to a Sweet Tomatoes restaurant on Friday, November 9, you’ll receive a free bag of cookies. It’s a sweet deal, and you’ll help clean Florida of the thousands of yard signs, posters, and stickers for presidential, state, and local candidates. Offer is good at any Orlando and Tampa area Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant. Limit one bag of free made-from-scratch Chocolate Chip Cookies per person.
Sweet Tomatoes will also make sure these recyclables are put to good use. The company is working with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to properly recycle the signs and materials. Plastics, metal, and paper will be separated and reused at recycling centers across the state. The FDEP encourages all recycling efforts and recommends that Floridians contact their local recycling officials for more information about how they can get involved. For more information, go to http://www.dep.state.fl.us/waste/categories/recycling/pages/contact_counties.htm.
“After months of enduring an endless number of political commercials on television and radio, the residents of Florida deserve a break,” said Tammy Bailey, Chief Marketing Officer of Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. “The free cookies are a nice treat for helping clean up our neighborhoods. In addition, many people don’t realize that these materials can be recycled. Keeping them out of the landfill is important. Anyone with questions on where to take the signs should contact the Florida Department of Environmental Protection or their local municipality.”
