Before You Grow Mushrooms You Have To Create Soil

CREATING SOIL IS LIKE BAKING A CAKE.

Straw is the flour, cotton seed is the sugar and almond shells are the eggs. The compost needs to “bake” at 180 degrees as it transforms into soil. Sounds easy! Not.

GARY IS THE MUSHROOM MAN.

Gary Crouch and his partner Roberto Ramirez run Mountain Meadow Mushroom Farms in Escondido, CA. Gary is an expert at renewable resources, and mouthwatering mushrooms.

GARY IS LOCO FOR LOCAL

He hand picks local customers like Souplantation who share his values. The mushrooms are delivered within hours of harvest for maximum freshness. To Gary, relationships matter. One taste of his Mushroom soup and you’ll be glad we’re friends with Gary.
