Full Hearts at Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes
From taking care of your dinner dishes to hosting fundraisers for non-profit organizations you care about at Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes, we love supporting you, the causes closest to your heart, and our surrounding communities. Since we’re one big family of guests and team members, we want to highlight some organizations that you’ve helped and share how you can get involved now, too!
Cookies for a Cause
Each June, for the past 8 years, Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes has partnered with the Easter Seals to help raise funds toward their mission of supporting children, adults, and families that are affected by disabilities. What better way to raise awareness and money than cookies?! Last year, through the sale of our famous homemade cookies sold at Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes, we were able to raise $38,000, bringing our cumulative donation over the past years to over $200,000.
This month, we want to exceed last year’s efforts and we need your help! For every bag of cookies purchased this month we will donate $1 to the Easter Seals (who knew giving was so delicious?).
Mascots for a Cure
Sweetie has been busy, too, helping Mascots for a Cure in its mission to prevent and eliminate childhood cancer and other diseases. Just a few weeks ago, Sweetie traveled to Portland, Oregon and joined120 other mascots to meet with fans in show of support for the organization and to help raise spirits. Isn’t Sweetie’s smile contagious?
Local Love
Although Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes often partners with nationwide efforts, there is also opportunity to help our local communities when they are in need. This past May, several fires in San Diego County affected many communities around our San Diego store locations. Through a partnership with the local American Red Cross division, our La Mesa store team was able to help serve meals 150 displaced residents.
Do you have a community effort you care about or non-profit organization you volunteer at? Share it with us below,- we’d love to learn more!
