HEALTH CHAMPIONS AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE
A few times a year we have visitors in our corporate office that are part of Health Champions, a program through Rady Children’s Hosptial of San Diego designed to increase physical activity and healthy lifestyle knowledge and behaviors, as well as to promote advocacy for a healthy environment among middle- and high-school-age participants. The program, provided free of charge, can be implemented by a facilitator at any school or organization in San Diego County that works with adolescents. It also can be modified for younger audiences. Below is a recap of the day from Rady’s on their day at our corporate office.
A Day At Souplantation Corporate Headquarters!
Students from Foothills High School and Bernardo Heights Middle School, along with facilitators Jen Strachan and Dalia Molina, attended the 3rd annual Souplantation fieldtrip on January 18th in Rancho Bernardo.
The day began with a wonderful introduction by CEO Michael Mack, who informed students of the company’s values and how dedication and commitment allowed Souplantation to grow to what it is today.
Nutritionist Susan Shofer gave a fascinating presentation on healthy eating habits which led into a sweat breaking jazzercise session under the instruction of Megan Knight.
A kitchen tour by Souplantation’s Culinary Services Manager Mike Schawnemann followed, allowing participants to create their own pizza with a variety of healthy topping options.
A wonderful salad buffet was prepared to compliment the individually prepared pizza lunch. The Health Champions team would like to give a big THANK YOU to all who participated!

I plan to take my dear friend- a meat lover- to Sweet Tomatoes(ST) in Gwinnett county(metro-Atlanta). She has never been, and I have raved about ST in the Dunwoody area of Atlanta. She had surgery a few months ago and we have not been able to ‘hang out’ in at least 2 months.
Here’s hoping that the Gwinnett ST gives both of us the satisfaction that we are so looking forward to.
