My boyfriend and I love your resturant and go at least once a week (I wish we were kidding…). The staff at our local Sweet Tomatoes is amazing — they take the time to know our names, say hello to us in the resturant and are always, always prompt with cleaning the sitting room. They rock!!
One thing we think is missing that would really put Sweet Tomatoes over to top is crackers to go with the soups! Right now only oyster crackers are offered but I am a dip a scoop my soup with my cracker kind of person and would love to see some various crackers…even saltines would be awesome!
Thanks!
I just returned from a trip to Illinois, and had the pleasure of visiting one of your restaurants in Aurora…. I must tell you I LOVED everything I ate and I am NOT Vegan or Vegetarian and am NOT restricted to a Gluten Free diet!!! Everything was fresh and tasted great!! Any plans to open on the East Coast, like in New York??? Please say yes!!!! In the meantime, whenever I travel to any of the cities were you are located, I will be sure to stop by!!
We’re so glad you enjoyed it, Irma! We don’t currently have any expansion plans to the North East, but we always like to know where we are wanted next. We hope you’re able to visit us on your travels until we do expand in that area 🙂
Thank you for offering more free options, especially in the soups. I love soups! It would be even more awesome if you offer a gluten-free muffin and/or bread more regularly. I’ve already been coming back a little bit more now that you have offered more gluten-free options. (I used to go at least 1-2x a week until I discovered a gluten allergy.) Am looking forward to more. Thank you!
Thank you for the suggestion, Anne. We are always testing new recipes and trying to introduce new and exciting dishes that meet our guests’ dietary restrictions and tastes. Stay tuned for updates 🙂
Please include a gluten-free salad dressing. I have to bring my own from home. Yours is one of the few places where my family can eat . It would be wonderful if you had at least one soup and one bread everyday that is gluten free. You will be surprised how many people have gluten sensitivity.
Thanks,
Carol
Hi Carol – We do have a few different gluten free salad dressings for you to enjoy! Give one of these gf dressings a try next time: Ranch, Fat-free Ranch, Blue Cheese, Fat-free Honey Mustard, Fat-free Italian, French, Thousand Island, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Olive Oil and Vinegar
Would you please provide a list each day showing which items are gluten-free? The people I have asked at my local ST have no idea. We have to be very careful what we eat.
Thanks
Hi Carol – We rotate our menu items monthly, so these items are the most up to date 🙂
I LOVED the Broccoli slaw maddness salad and couldn’t get enough! Can you post the recipe?
Hi Ryan – We haven’t shared our slaw recipe yet, but you can make our original Broccoli Madness salad at home.
I recently visited the Camarillo restaurant and I have two questions. First why did you take away the honey whip? It was one of my favorite things to have with your delicious muffins. The person working there said the health inspector told them not to serve it anymore. I wondering if that is true or what was the reason? If you can, please bring it back. Secondly, I had the Lemon Lava Cake which was also great, but it was labeled vegetarian, and I was wondering why as well? I would never think of cake as having meat in it. Thanks, any input would be appreciated.
Hi Katie – We’re sorry for your experience! Our Honey Whip should always be available. Sometimes we do run out due to unforeseen demand, but it should be refilled soon after. Please feel free to notify the manager on duty so they can address the situation immediately. With regards to our Lemon Lava Cake, we simply label all of the vegetarian (along with vegan and gluten-free) menu items so guests with dietary restrictions can easily navigate our available offerings 🙂
