Kitchen Cabinet Call-Out

Kitchen Cabinet-FinalIn 2007 we founded our Kitchen Cabinet ®, a group of twelve ladies that served a three-year term and provided us with opinions on our brand, menu, new products, prototype design and promotions.  Twice a year they joined us in San Diego at our Corporate Headquarters to meet face-to-face and discuss their recent restaurant experiences and taste new and conceptual menu items.

Last June (2009), their term ended.  While sad to lose a group of such committed and dedicated ladies, we took it as an opportunity to reorganize and relaunch the program.  One of our favorite aspects of the Kitchen Cabinet was meeting and hearing from our most loyal guests.  Our new Cabinet is designed with this in mind, and provides more people a chance to be a part of this special group.

Every six months, we will pick fifteen new guests to come to San Diego for an overnight stay.  They will try new foods, talk about their experiences in our restaurants and discuss our brand.  The day will end with a happy hour and dinner with our Executive Team.

There are three ways guests can be chosen to win a seat on our Cabinet:

  1. Be a Club Veg member www.www.sweettomatoes.com
  2. Follow us on Twitter http://twitter.com/souplantation
  3. Be a Facebook Fan www.facebook.com/souplantation

We will choose one Twitter follower, one Facebook Fan and the rest from our Club Veg guests.

Take the survey at http://bit.ly/7RczuD before January 31 to qualify.

This means each year we’ll meet thirty new people.  Thirty new voices.  We are really excited about the evolution of this very special guest council. During January we sent out a call-out for new members that will be coming to our office in March. Stay tuned to hear how their visit goes and what we learn from them.

  1. Would be interested, but since I’m retired, I might not be able to swing it, if it was going to cost a lot!

  2. Ahhh this sounds like such an exciting opportunity! I’ve been going to Souplantation ever since I was a little girl, it’s honestly my favorite restaurant. I’d be so thrilled to be able to taste new, conceptual menu items, and express my opinions. I mean, I was more than delighted to leave my opinion on the Gingerbread Muffins at the Temecula Location. That was a dang good muffin! Well I just filled out the survey, so i’ll be keeping my fingers crossed. :]

  3. Darnit! I wish I could apply, but I won’t be able to go to San Diego in March. Sigh… Well, maybe next time in another 2 years!

  4. What a neat idea the Kitchen Cabinet is. I’ve enjoyed your locations from Sweet Tomatoes in suburban St. Louis to Soup Plantation in numerous California locations. It would be a pleasure to meet with others, share ideas, and offer feedback on anything from entrees to beverages to service and ambiance.

    Thanks for this opportunity!

  5. WOW – I would love the opportunity to help a great restaurant get even better. We go at least twice a month – and usually bring friends with us. I wish you would sell your bakery items (besides cookies) so I could bring home an assortment of those yummy muffins.

  6. I would love to be a part of the Kitchen Cabinet. I have applied every way I possible! Your restaurant is just about the only one we frequent as a family. I would love the opportunity to taste test new dishes and discuss the Sweet Tomatoes brand!

  7. When is the next opportunity to enter? I would love to be one of the 15 in the future. I love Sweet Tomatoes and visit the Tempe, AZ location often!

  8. I wished I had learned of this sooner, I’d LOVE to be selected to help tweek the menu at Sweet Tomatoes! We eat at the Sweet Tomatoes near Willowbrook, in Houston often, including on my birthday!

As the director of a community garden to feed the hungry; we encourage interest in eating vegetables and herbs all the time. Sweet Tomatoes is where we enjoy a selection of both!

  11. It’s my 2nd time a Souplantation in a week. There was another location that had a really good cake called, The Ooey Gooey Caramel Pumpkin Cake. It looked like a bread pudding. I of course had to put a little dab of maple butter on top to bring out the sweetness!!!! It super yummy!
