National Gardening Exercise Day!

Sweet Tomatoes in Florida offers guests $5 garden-fresh buffet on June 6th in honor of national holiday

Sweet Tomatoes restaurants in Florida are encouraging guests to workout those taste buds (and gardening hoses) and celebrate National Gardening Exercise Day on June 6th. In honor of the unique holiday, Sweet Tomatoes is giving back by offering customers a special $5 all-you-care-to-eat dining experience (11a.m. – 3 p.m.) and donating $1 from every lunch buffet purchased that day to the Florida Federation of Gardening Clubs (FFGC).

The FFGC is a vital community institution committed to the education, environmental awareness, and civic beautification of gardening. While also encouraging efforts toward special causes such as the erection of memorials to veterans of the United States armed forces.

A tongue-in-cheek, 80’s-style workout video and street teams equipped with their favorite gardening equipment will serve as a fun and encouraging way to promote event participation.

“Celebrating this unique holiday is another fun way for our guests to interact with the brand,” stated Mike Hammel, Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp.’s Vice President of Marketing. “It’s a great way for us to raise awareness for our healthy, garden-fresh offerings, while reinforcing the value of healthy eating, physical activity, and gardening.”
