Garden Fresh Introduces Spring with Lemonicious Menu in April

Salad, muffin, pasta and dessert features lemons as the starring ingredient

San Diego, Calif – March 31, 2015 – Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp., parent company of Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation restaurants, announces it’s going tart and tangy for the month of April, welcoming spring with invigorating menu items.

“Inspiration for these special recipes come from our vibrant lemon crop, which will have our guests showing the ‘pucker faces’ all month long,” said Julie Derry, Chief Marketing Officer for Garden Fresh. “It’s the perfect time of year, as the weather gets warmer, to treat our guests to this refreshing menu, featuring light and zesty flavors.”

Beginning April 1, guests will see the Bleu Cheese & Spiced Pecan Lemon Salad, a delicious way to wake-up the taste buds. As guests move their way around the restaurant, they will also find the Tangy Lemon Muffin and the Creamy Lemon and Asparagus Hot Pasta. Top it off with a decadent dessert, the Lemon Lava Cake, served in all restaurants for dinner April 17-29. All of the dishes are made-from-scratch with no added preservatives.

It’s not just the flavors that will leave guests feeling energized. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, lemons are an excellent source of potassium and Vitamin C, making them natural antioxidants. Garden Fresh’s lemons come straight from the farm, as the restaurant company works directly with the LimonieraCompany, which has ranches throughout California and Arizona.

“At Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation we pride ourselves in having relationships with the farmers who help us feed our guests every day,” said John Morberg, CEO of Garden Fresh. “The Limoniera Company supplies us with such a beautiful crop, and our chefs are getting creative with the lemons to produce delicious and cravable recipes for our guests.”
